JW Horizon hosts Autonomous Robot Hackathon at AGI House
(Feb 7, 2026) AGI House, Hillsborough, CA
A hackathon hosted at the storied AGI House today showed just how close we are to a diverse range of fully autonomous robots. Hosted in part by Joseph Wang’s new venture JW Horizon, the Autonomous Robot Build Day brought together robotics founders, researchers, and technical operators to build and deploy robot autonomy in real time for a full-day build sprint.
The hackathon was structured into three tracks; Track 1: Robot Task Autonomy, Track 2: Generalist Skills & Task Transfer, and Track 3: Sim Training and World Models. OpenGraph Labs took hime the top prize in Track 1 with their Temporal Action Segmentation Pipeline for Physical AI. Sim Also took home the top prize Track 2, while Patrick Rose – NomadicML took home the Track 3 top prize.
The hackathon was part of Joseph Wang’s strategy to support the robotics ecosystem through both targeted investing and events that reward talent and innovation building at the intersection of AI and physical world. Speaking during the panel discussion, Joseph also teased that he will be launching a new partnership venture capital funding platform JW Horizon in the coming months focused on supporting initiatives at this intersection.
